Product manager
About this role
As a Product Manager, you’ll work closely with the CPO to further develop the Spotable platform and adapt it for the European and American construction markets. You’ll ensure a balance between technical feasibility, customer needs, pain points, and benefits, as well as commercial opportunities. You’ll oversee and ensure that the right features are built at the right time.
What you’ll do
A digital product manager in B2B SaaS for the construction sector focuses on a handful of core tasks that tie everything together. You have at least 5 years of experience.
- Proactively translate insights and reactively gather feedback from leads, customers, and partners to shape product vision and strategy. You regularly engage with construction professionals, such as contractors and project managers, not to validate what you already know, but to understand how they truly work. You translate those insights into product requirements that make a difference on their worksite or job site.
- Prioritizing the roadmap. You determine what gets built and when, based on customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact. In a scale-up, this means constantly making choices with limited resources and daring to say “no, not now but later” to good ideas.
- Aligning design and engineering. You ensure the engineering team always knows why something is being built, not just what. Good specifications, clear acceptance criteria, and close collaboration during product development prevent delivering something that nobody uses.
- Guide the go-to-market strategy. A feature that isn’t adopted doesn’t exist. You’ll collaborate with the sales team and customer success to launch new functionality, communicate it, and embed it into the customer’s workflow.
- Monitoring data. You actively track how the product is used: which features are popular, where users drop off, and what the impact is on retention and expansion. That data guides your next decisions.
- Understanding integrations and technical context. How to connect software in the construction sector to ERP systems, CRMs, and industry-specific tools. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you must understand what integrations mean in terms of complexity and value for the customer.
- Monitor the market and competition. You keep track of what’s happening in the construction sector: new players, shifts in customer expectations, technological developments. You translate that into strategic choices for the product.
